On a global and national level, the International Registry of Certified Medical Interpreters (IRMCI) will help promote the importance and necessity of using professional certified medical interpreters.

If you are:

  • An organization with a valid certification process for “medical” interpreters or;
  • A medically certified interpreter and would like to participate in this unique registry…

We invite you to join us as we build a solid foundation around the globe to support you and your profession as a medical interpreter.

How to Participate as a Certifier of Medical Interpreters

As a recognized provider of Medical Interpreter Certification, your organization can participate in this international resource at no cost. Your organization will be listed among others from around the globe.

We invite you to provide information about your program(s) so interested interpreters may contact you. You will also have the opportunity to list interpreters already certified through your program, and to update your list as it grows.

Should an interpreter contact us and state that they have been certified through your program but does not appear in the list you have provided, we will contact you first for validation as part of the interpreter vetting process, thereby ensuring the integrity of the registry.

Personal interpreter contact information will not be listed and we’ll instead identify a link back to your own site.

How to Participate as a Medical Interpreter

As a professional interpreter you can participate in this international resource at no cost to you.

By registering, you identify yourself as a certified medical interpreter through one or more existing certification programs. Your professional status will be shared in this global resource, while you help increase the awareness of your certification program.

To accomplish this, either provide us with your current information by registering, or contact the organization that certified you and ask that it send us your information for inclusion in the registry.
